Holiday House Tour: The Living room + our eat in Kitchen Nook

With Christmas just a few days away and on the rare occasion that our house is clean. I thought what better occasion then to share our cozy little living room with you. This is the room that we spend the absolute most time in especially when we have family and friends over. When we were first shown this house with our realtor, this was the room that we really fell in love with. Everything is super open and it has such great natural light that flows through its many windows each morning. It's so gorgeous especially on a super sunny day. I chose with the decor to keep everything pretty neutral and then to bring in pops of color with art and textiles. There is still quite a bit of work that I would like to be added to this room (drapes, a larger coffee table, a wooden mantle, ect.) but for now we think it's pretty cozy! We had so much fun decorating for the holidays. I kept the decorations pretty neutral here as well with lots of gold, black and silver, then brought in some color with pom poms, handcrafted ornaments and seasonal greenery! Christmas is my all time favorite holiday and it has been such a joy for J and I to be able to invite our friends and family to our home for this special season. Eat, Drink and Be Merry sweet friends! Happy Holidays!

Tis' the Season

With Thanksgiving in just a few days you know what that means... family, turkey, twinkly lights, Black Friday more importantly though lets talk about the "stretchy pants". Yes thanksgiving is about family but it would not be complete without stuffing your face with all the deliciousness that your heart desires. To do this properly though you will need to be dressed appropriately and this includes... drum roll please... Stretchy pants! I tried my best at putting them to the test by jumping, leaping, and lunging them in all there stretchiness glory! I can tell you with confidence that you will be able to stuff your face while still feeling comfortable and without the fear of having a button pop! See below for details.

Can I just wear my PJ's?

I find myself asking this question a lot when the cold weather comes around. Sadly the answer is usually no, but I think I have found a few comfy options and that's what this weeks posts will be all about! Easy everyday basics that are super comfy and are great for all those crazy holiday shopping days, running around searching for the perfect Christmas tree or even just a movie date with your sweetie or best gal pal! You better believe it though if I would have been headed to the movies in this picture there would be a super over sized bag shoved full of all things salty and sweet, homemade chocolate chip cookies, a Tupperware dish with some warm chili (true story this has happened more than once and yes I share so feel free to bring the Frito's) and hey maybe even one of those cute little mini champagne bottles. It is the holidays after all!

Fall Sale Must Haves

Yes this is real! I repeat yes this is real and not a test! I am alive and well but woo it's been awhile and a lotttt has happened. For those of you who follow me on Instagram have since seen that me and J have finally finished renovating our house and have since moved in. There is still so many things that need decorating so I will be sharing before and afters as things progress. I can't wait to show y'all though seriously it is insane the transformation our little house has gone through. I'm happy to say that the hand painted wall murals of trees and little birds are gone along with the endless amounts of wallpaper. I decided when we started to really take on some big projects at the house as well as moving in I would take a small break from blogging to soak up this precious time in our lives as this is our first home together plus our first time living together. It has been a wonderful journey so far. I'm thinking this whole husband and wife thing is going to be pretty awesome! Oh and plus we didn't have wi-fi so I guess that was kind of an issue but anyways enough with the jibber jabber there are some great sales going on and so of course you know I had to share them with my girls. Fall is approaching fast then next thing you know it's the holiday season and so I've put together a bunch of my favorite items plus some great gift ideas.

First up Shop Bop!
For 3 days only you can get 25% off of your whole order when you use the code FAMILY25 at checkout!  P.S. That's amazing, so you better run (this only last's til Thursday the 16th)

You can get up to 50% off of sale items. There is a lot of good stuff!

I chose some of my favorite sale items that will be wonderful for the upcoming holiday season!

I hope everyone's having a wonderful week so far. I can't wait to get back in touch with each and every one of you now that we are settled in and my office is somewhat set up. Big hugs... now go do some shopping. You deserve it!

Jewelry with a Purpose

So with this post the outfit details will obviously be linked below but more importantly I really wanted the jewelry to steal the spotlight of this post. I met Michelle and Sayra the sisters and creators behind the Bracha brand a few weeks back and I have to say they both have hearts of gold. In Hebrew "Bra.cha" means Blessing. The main purpose behind there company is that when you wear a piece of their jewelry you are reminded of how beautiful you are. A portion of each sale is donated to the A21 Campaign. It's a campaign dedicated to helping put an end to sex slavery and human trafficking. Something that many people may not realize is that there are more slaves in the world today than ever before in human history. There is an estimated 27 million men, woman, and children that are being held captive and are forced against there will. The average age of trafficking is 12 years old. This is an unimaginable life that these victims have to go through and sadly many of them will never be rescued. Every thirty seconds a victim is captured. The A21 campaign helps to educate, protect victims in safe houses as well as prosecute traffickers. Like most women I do have a love for fashion and jewelry but my love for helping a needing cause is greater. Being able to wear something beautiful but then also know that it is helping with such a terrible crime is a double bonus. I pray one day that there is no such thing as human trafficking but until then we can help support such campaigns as well as make people more aware. If you would like to know more about the A21 Campaign and how you can help you can click here. If you would like to view more of Bracha's beautiful jewelry you can click here!
