So I saw this Recipe on Pintrest and just knew I had to try it for a yummy Sunday Breakfast for the Family...
even though I can't eat them (the Sugar & Bread... Very sad I know)
But I did sneak a small little piece and let me tell you they are amazingggg!
They were Super fast & easy to make
and actually tasted better than some homemade ones I've done in the past!
Here is my recipe that I tweaked a little from the Original!
You will need:
A can of Crescent Rolls (8 Count)
(Makes about 10 Small Bite Size Cinnamon Rolls)
*You can double or Triple this recipe depending on your Family*
For the Yummy Cinnamon Filling:
(Mix these Ingredients in a Small Separate Bowl)
2 Tsp of Cinnamon
8 Tbsp of Brown Sugar
2 Tbsp of Butter
2 Tbsp of Flour
For the Icing:
(If you like it super sweet you can always add more Powdered Sugar)
1 Tsp of Milk
2 Tsp of Butter
Super Tinie Tiny Pinch of Salt
1/3 cup of Powdered Sugar
1/4 Tsp Vanilla Extract
First start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees.
Second open your Crescent Rolls and lay them out flat, you can use a rolling pin or just your hand like me and kind of press all the seams together (it doesn't have to be perfect). You should have a long piece of rolled out dough in the shape of a long rectangle. Next take a knife and spread out your cinnamon filling over the whole thing. Now take a pizza roller or your knife and cut strips about 1 inch wide going from the shorter side and cutting Vertically up, not Horizontally.
Confused...?? Well maybe my little Drawing will help!
Now that your strips are cut (you should have about 9-10) Roll those puppies up from one end to the other and place them on your baking sheet (Cinnamon Swirl up) Place them kind of close together maybe like a half an inch from one another in a circle formation because they will expand but we like them a little gooey so its yummy when they are all stuck together! If you like the Crispier place them farther apart! Now Pop them into the oven and cook for about 12-13 minutes! Watch them though every oven is different. Pull them out when they are slightly Golden Brown and smell like Heaven! While they are cooking you can make your icing.. its more the consistency of syrup but its oh so yummy drizzled over the top of them right when they come out of the oven! Add your Milk, Butter and Vanilla in a small bowl and heat it up in the microwave till its warm and the butter is melted, stir in your salt and Powdered Sugar till its well combined! Your Oven should be going off right about now so go pull those Delicious Cinnamony Bites out of the oven and Enjoy!!
Have one for me!
